Anticipating the celebration of Pittsburgh’s 250th birthday during 2008, this project for Priory Fine Pastries featured one of the City’s favorite sons.
It tells the story of teenage Irish immigrant David Clark launching the Clark Candy Company in the 1880s on the site of their store and is based on several historic documents. [PDF of the story]

The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, home to the Mainstreets Pittsburgh program, funded two districts in 2008 for Marketing Snapshots for their businesses. This is a vote of confidence for the new product that was created in the summer of 2007 by RS&A. (PDF of rave reviews of Snapshot!)

The creative folks at Neighbors in the Strip worked with Randy to create a new print piece for their promotion tool kit and as an extension of Pittsburgh Neighborhood Tours. This 4-page booklet [PDF] walking tour reveals several fun “secrets” of the Strip to entice consumers and tourists to explore the district’s attractions—from a retro ice cream shop to a world class history center.

For their 2008 quarterly meeting of Main Streets and Elm Streets managers in the city, the URA asked Randy to present strategies for launching a new business. The presentation featured the launch of Bistro To Go and a handout [PDF] of basic launch strategies.
To date, RS&A has guided the launch marketing efforts for four businesses and one nonprofit.
